Here Comes The Night: Songs from the Van Morrison Songbook was a blast. It was only going to be a one-off show at The Palais for the Melbourne International Jazz Festival in June. The show was so well-received, the promotors booked a national tour taking in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and an encore performance at The Palais on 29 November. It was fun to look at songs from Van and try to get the soul and elasticity they deserve. Thank you to all who played on this heart-felt tour, The VooDoo Sheiks Orchestra, Silo String Quartet and of course Vika and Vince. Most of all thank you to the thousands round the country who came to see the show and hear the music of a modern master.
